In 1995, governments participating in the Fourth World Conference on Women held in Beijing agreed on a platform for action to advance the goals of equality, development and peace for all women everywhere in the interest of all humanity.
Now, 15 years later, a distinguished panel will brief us on the history of the Beijing Declaration & Platform for Action and provide an update on actual steps taken around the world, including here in San Diego, to improve the lives of women and girls.
Open to the Public.
